Building Sustainably at our Nicaraguan Jungle Lodge

In the lush valleys of Nicaragua, our ecolodge has recently finished building a reception desk and a cozy couch using sustainable building methods.

We combined clay, water, rocks from our property, and hay from our neighbors to create these structures.

We believe natural materials have an aesthetic appeal, look unique and contribute to our commitment to sustainability in our business.

Besides all of that we love all the benifits:

  1. Environmental Harmony: By using local, natural materials, we reduce our carbon footprint and preserve the environment.

  2. Resource Efficiency: We minimize waste and decrease the demand for new materials, conserving resources.

  3. Cost-Effective: Sustainable construction can lead to long-term savings through lower utility costs and reduced maintenance.

  4. Community Engagement: Engaging with the local community and utilizing available resources strengthens bonds and supports the local economy.

  5. Energy Efficiency: Sustainable construction promotes energy-efficient design, resulting in lower energy consumption and reduced bills.

  6. Health and Comfort: Natural materials create a healthier and more comfortable living environment.

  7. Unique Aesthetics: Sustainable building methods offer creative design opportunities and a unique charm.
